4(6 ounces each) salmon fillets
1/2cupsweet chili sauce (Mae Ploy)
2tablespoonssoy sauce
1/2teaspoonfreshly cracked pepper
green onions, optional
sesame seeds, optional
Instructions
Pat dry the salmon fillets with a paper towel and remove any stray bones.
Season with pepper to taste.
In a bowl, combine sweet chili sauce and soy sauce.
Generously baste the tops and sides of the salmon fillets with the glaze and marinate in the refrigerator for about 20 to 30 minutes.
Lightly grease the air fryer basket and arrange the salmon in a single layer.
Cook in a preheated 400 F air fryer for about 7 to 8 minutes depending on thickness.
.Remove from air fryer and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
When buying salmon fillets, ask the fishmonger for the center cut as they're mostly uniform in thickness and will cook more evenly.
Pat the fillets dry with paper towels to ensure the basting sauce adheres well.
For an extra boost of flavor, switch the salt with lemon pepper seasoning or add a teaspoon of sesame oil to the basting sauce.
